RAWALPINDI, Pakistan — The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that the Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command (ARFC) successfully executed a flight test launch of the Fatah-2 Extended Range (ER) guided surface-to-surface ballistic missile system.
The test launch verified key subsystems, including advanced integrated satellite/inertial navigation avionics, flight-control actuators, and maneuverable flight trajectory characteristics. Designed by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), the Fatah-2 ER is an enlarged derivative of the baseline 400 km range Fatah-2 (Fatah-II) guided artillery system. The platform incorporates a high-aspect ratio airframe on a Taian 8×8 heavy mobility chassis and utilizes atmospheric maneuvering to complicate radar tracking profiles and defeat integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) systems.
