FORT LIBERTY / MELBOURNE, Florida — L3Harris Technologies, in coordination with the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command’s (USASOAC) Systems Integration Management Office (SIMO), successfully executed the first flight demonstration of the Red Wolf air-launched effect (ALE) platform from an MH-60 Black Hawk series helicopter.
The flight test validated airframe-launch container pneumatic interface compatibility, structural deployment clearance, and post-release aerodynamic flight profiles under realistic operational flight conditions. The milestone establishes a formal integration pathway for deploying L3Harris’ “Wolf Pack” modular air-launched effect (ALE) series across utility and attack rotary-wing platforms, including the UH-60 Black Hawk, MH-60M, and related H-60 variants. The event marks the 60th total flight demonstration across the Wolf Pack portfolio (comprising Red Wolf kinetic strike and Green Wolf electronic warfare/ISR systems).
