ALTINOVA, Yalova — TAIS / Sefine Shipyard has reached key manufacturing milestones for the 70-meter Fast Attack Craft Missile (FACM-70 / KCR-70M) program ordered by the Indonesian Navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Laut). As part of the ongoing build cycle at Sefine Shipyard, Turkish naval engineering firm SMAK Makine A.Ş. has completed the production and delivery of the specialized Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) davits and deck handling systems for the surface combatants.
Designed by Sefine Shipyard to operate in contested littoral environments, the 850-tonne KCR-70M features a high-speed Combined Diesel and Gas (CODAG) propulsion architecture driving waterjets to achieve maximum operational speeds exceeding 40 knots. The multi-mission platforms provide the Indonesian Navy with scalable anti-surface warfare (ASuW), anti-air warfare (AAW), intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and coastal patrol capabilities, supported by organic high-speed RHIBs for visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) and search-and-rescue (SAR) missions.
