ORLANDO / TUCSON — The Javelin Joint Venture (JJV), a strategic partnership between Lockheed Martin and Raytheon (RTX), announced on October 8, 2026, that it has nearly doubled its annual production capacity for the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) over the past two years.
The manufacturing expansion scales throughput across primary assembly lines in Orlando, Florida, and Tucson, Arizona. Supported by internal corporate investments to accelerate long-lead material acquisitions, the JJV will complete all ramp-critical test stations by year-end 2026. Concurrently, Raytheon has executed a $22 million modernization of its Tucson production line to scale manufacturing of the Lightweight Command Launch Unit (LWCLU). To date, the program has produced over 55,000 Javelin rounds and 12,000 reusable Command Launch Units (CLUs) worldwide.
