ASFAT (Askeri Fabrika ve Tersane İşletme A.Ş.), operating under the Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MSB), hosted foreign military attachés accredited to Türkiye for the Ankara Military Attachés Corps (AMAC) 2026 Autumn Conference. Held across facilities at the Southern Sea Area Command and Aksaz Shipyard Command in Marmaris, the defense diplomacy summit briefed international military attachés on Türkiye’s naval shipyard infrastructure, ongoing warship construction programs, and global defense export portfolios.
During the conference, ASFAT executives and naval commanders presented detailed overviews of the operational synergy established between state military factories, naval shipyards, and private Turkish defense contractors. Briefings highlighted ASFAT’s model of utilizing state-owned naval production infrastructure—including the newly expanded Aksaz Shipyard Command—to build, overhaul, and export advanced naval platforms for both the Turkish Navy and allied international partners. Attachés were provided technical reviews of major ongoing programs, including PN MİLGEM corvettes, Hisar-class Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs), and specialized submarine support infrastructure.
