ANKARA, Türkiye — ASELSAN executed a live-fire interception demonstration of its indigenously developed “GÖKALP” Counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (C-UAV) System at the Oğulbey Technology Base.

During the operational test, the system’s AURA Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar detected and tracked an incoming target drone. Target telemetry and real-time midcourse guidance updates were processed via the DRONEDEF Command and Control (C2) software architecture and transmitted over a tactical data link to a launched GÖKALP E1 interceptor drone. The GÖKALP E1 executed a direct terminal engagement, neutralizing the target drone in mid-air using kinetic hit-to-kill (HTK) impact.

The GÖKALP platform forms a mobile, cost-effective layer within ASELSAN’s overarching DRONEDEF integrated anti-drone network.
