ANKARA, Turkey — Turkish defense primes ASELSAN and ROKETSAN have finalized a landmark subsystem procurement contract valued at €1.234 billion (€1,234,210,000). The strategic agreement covers the production, supply, and integration of critical sub-assemblies for multi-layered air and missile defense systems, marking one of the largest single-value domestic defense sub-contracts in Turkish history.
The procurement deal directly reinforces the industrial supply chain backing Turkey’s integrated multi-layered air defense network—commonly known as the “Steel Dome” (Çelik Kubbe) initiative. Under the agreement, ASELSAN will provide advanced sensor, radar, electro-optical, command-and-control, and fire-control hardware, while ROKETSAN provides missile propulsion, warheads, and launch control subsystems across various short, medium, and long-range air defense tiers.
By codifying sub-system standardization across both major prime contractors, the agreement accelerates serial production schedules for layered air defense systems while optimizing system-level interoperability between radar sensors, missile effectors, and command nodes.
