LONDON — British defense startup Cody Aerospace & Defence unveiled its inaugural product architecture—the Badger Mk1 tactical strike missile and Abode Mk1 containerized launcher system—at the Apex Europe defense exhibition in London.
Founded in February 2026 by defense industry veteran Henry Price, the company aims to address sovereign ammunition stockpile depletion across NATO forces. Designed to offer an indirect-fire capability at a fraction of traditional procurement costs, the Badger Mk1 relies on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) seekers, solid rocket motors, and open-source fire control architectures. Cody Aerospace is raising pre-seed capital and plans to build the “Ordnance One” manufacturing facility to achieve prototype testing within 18 to 24 months and a sub-one-year replenishment cycle.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: BADGER MK1 & ABODE MK1 LAUNCH SYSTEM
* Prime Developer: Cody Aerospace & Defence (United Kingdom)
