ANKARA, Türkiye — ASFAT (Askeri Fabrika ve Tersane İşletme A.Ş.), under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of National Defence (MSB), has formally detailed the technical specifications for its indigenously developed T-155 Panter 8×8 Tactical Wheeled Truck-Mounted Howitzer (TTA-Panter). Developed in joint industrial partnership with MKE (ordnance/ordnance mechanics), ASELSAN (fire control and digital communications), and BMC (8×8 tactical armored chassis), the platform transitions the combat-proven T-155 Panter towed howitzer into a highly mobile, networked shoot-and-scoot artillery system.
The platform is designed to provide rapid mobility, reduced emplacement/displacement times (<2 minutes), and high-volume precision fire support for land forces, fully integrated into modern digital battlefield management networks.
