HERZLIYA, Israel — BIRD Aerosystems (a subsidiary of Ondas Holdings Inc.) announced that it has successfully integrated and obtained European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) airworthiness certification for its Airborne Missile Protection System (AMPS) aboard a Bombardier Global 7500 ultra-long-range VIP business jet.
The EASA certification validates the structural, electrical, and avionic modifications required to integrate the laser-based Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) and Missile Launch Detection System (MLDS) onto civil-registered, long-range transport airframes. The suite provides zero-false-alarm detection and hard-kill laser jamming against surface-to-air MANPADS (Man-Portable Air Defense Systems) during vulnerable landing and takeoff departure profiles.
