ANKARA, Türkiye — ASELSAN announced on October 12, 2026, the successful execution of live-fire operational trials for its KORKUT 25 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Interception System. Integrated onto a high-mobility 4×4 tactical wheeled vehicle, the counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) engaged and destroyed multiple airborne targets, including a rotary-wing drone and a low-cost, delta-wing one-way attack (OWA) UAV mimicking the flight profile and signature of the Iranian-designed Shahed-136.
The platform is designed to provide mobile, cost-effective point defense against asymmetrical drone swarms and Class 1–2 UAV threats. The system leverages integrated active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar sensors, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) tracking suites, and artificial intelligence-assisted target classification to execute rapid fire-control solutions while moving or stationary.
